2. Free Pick licenses

Royalty-free describes the license model: permitted uses do not require a new royalty for every view, play, or print. It does not mean copyright-free, public domain, or unrestricted.

A Free Pick is a time-bounded, staff-curated promotion. A signed-in user claims the asset while the promotion is active. Claiming is covered by the usage license (the Content License). A successful claim creates a non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable, zero-price license under the asset's applicable Commercial or Editorial terms.

• The claimed original and its applicable usage rights remain available to the claiming account after the promotion ends.
• The promotion end stops new claims; it does not terminate an existing valid claim.
• Free Pick claims do not include creator prompts, model settings, or any generation recipe.
• Claims are account-bound and may be subject to reasonable anti-abuse limits.

A Free Pick license remains subject to every restriction, ownership rule, release requirement, and termination provision below. It may be revoked for fraud, abuse, legal-rights defects, or a material breach of these terms.

3. Schedule A — Standard Commercial (AI catalog)

Schedule version 2026-09-04-commercial-ai. This schedule covers the AI catalog Commercial license. A future Authentic Photography commercial schedule, if offered, will be versioned separately and will not reuse these AI warranties.

A Standard Commercial asset may be incorporated into a finished project for personal, business, promotional, or client use, provided the asset is not the primary value of a product offered for resale.

• Websites, social posts, digital advertising, email, and presentations.
• Print advertising, editorial publications, packaging, and physical print runs totaling up to 500,000 copies.
• Film, streaming video, broadcasts, podcasts, games, and applications when the asset is part of a larger creative work.
• One client project, with the finished work delivered to that client; the client does not receive the standalone source asset.
• Reasonable cropping, color adjustment, compositing, typography, and other edits needed for the finished project.
• Private use and modification of an included generation recipe to create derivatives for the licensed project.

A separate license is required for another legal entity to access or reuse the standalone file. Gobostock does not currently offer an extended merchandise or template license.

4. Schedule B — Editorial (authentic photography)

Schedule version 2026-08-25-editorial-authentic. This schedule covers authentic uploaded photographs used for news, documentary, and public-interest reporting. It does not apply to AI Commercial catalog items.

Editorial assets may be used only in a truthful context connected to news, public affairs, education, documentary work, criticism, or another matter of genuine public interest.

• News articles, documentary productions, factual books, educational materials, and non-promotional presentations.
• Cropping, resizing, tonal correction, and minor cleanup that does not alter the factual meaning of the scene.
• Use with an accurate caption and any creator or source credit shown on the asset detail page.

5. Restrictions on all assets

You may not:

• Sell, share, sublicense, post, or distribute the standalone file or make it available for others to extract.
• Use an asset as a logo, trademark, service mark, or other source identifier.
• Use an asset as the primary value of merchandise, wall art, templates, themes, stock, or print-on-demand products.
• Redistribute, resell, publish, sublicense, or share an included generation recipe, or use it to create competing standalone stock.
• Use an asset, Licensed File, Generation Recipe, or any derivative of them to train, fine-tune, distill, benchmark, evaluate, or otherwise develop an AI or machine-learning model, dataset, biometric system, or facial-recognition service. Additional provider rules in Section 6 also apply.
• Use content unlawfully, deceptively, pornographically, or in a defamatory way.
• Place an identifiable person in a sensitive or misleading context - including medical, criminal, political, sexual, or financial claims - without a clear statement that the image is illustrative and without all legally required permissions.
• Remove a watermark from a preview, bypass access controls, or use an asset after a refund, chargeback, or revoked license.

6. Third-party model and AI-training restrictions

Many Commercial catalog items are generated with third-party models. Those providers restrict how outputs may be used. This Content License is a usage license for a finished project. It does not waive provider terms, and it does not grant the right to use a file as training data. Where a provider is stricter, that stricter rule controls. You may not allow employees, contractors, clients, or other third parties to do what you may not do.

Gobostock's default rule for every AI-generated or AI-catalog asset: you may not use the Licensed File, Generation Recipe, or any derivative to train, fine-tune, distill, benchmark, evaluate, or build any AI or machine-learning model, system, network, dataset, or similar technology. Commercial use of the image in a finished project is not a license to train AI.

The following model owner rules also pass through to you. They apply to assets generated with that owner's models on Gobostock, however Gobostock reaches the model.

• OpenAI (GPT Image 2 and other OpenAI image models). You may not use Output to develop artificial intelligence models that compete with OpenAI's products and services, including competing image generators. OpenAI currently describes limited exceptions only for internal classifiers or embeddings that are not distributed or sold to third parties, and for fine-tuning OpenAI's own services where OpenAI permits it. You may not represent the image as wholly human-made.
• Google (Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro, Gemini image, and Imagen). You may not use the services or generated output to develop models that compete with Google's Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Imagen, or other Google AI/ML services, or to create or improve models similar to a Google Model. You may not deceptively claim the image was created solely by a human. Do not strip provenance or SynthID signals where present.
• Recraft (V4.1, Utility, Pro, and Vector). Recraft assigns rights in paid assets only if they are not used to train any artificial intelligence model, system, network, or similar technology. You also may not use Recraft assets to develop goods or services that compete with Recraft. Do not remove Recraft watermarks or machine-readable provenance. A breach can terminate Recraft rights in the asset.
• Black Forest Labs / Flux (Flux 2 Dev and other Flux models). You may not use Flux output to train, fine-tune, or distill a model that competes with a FLUX model or with Black Forest Labs, or to train, distill, or fine-tune other AI models on that output unless you have a separate synthetic-data license from Black Forest Labs.
• ByteDance / Seedream. You may not use Seedream input or output for the development, training, annotation, fine-tuning, optimization, iteration, or similar improvement of new or other models, except fine-tuning that ByteDance expressly agrees to.
• Sourceful / Riverflow. You may not, and may not allow third parties to, use Riverflow results or other generative output to create, train, test, or otherwise improve any machine-learning algorithms or artificial intelligence systems, including architectures, models, or weights.
• Alibaba / Qwen (hosted APIs). When an asset is generated through a hosted Alibaba or Qwen API, you may not use the output to train or develop products or services that compete with Alibaba Cloud or its affiliates.
• All other models in the catalogue. Every model carries its owner's rules, whether or not that owner is named above. A commercial-use grant for the image is never a waiver of the underlying model's AI-training restrictions.

These restrictions survive refund, chargeback, account closure, and termination of the license. They do not limit Gobostock's own processing described in the Privacy Policy, which is separate from any right for you to train third-party or competing models.

7. Copyright, warranties, and file access

Buyers receive a usage license, not ownership of the file and not a transfer of copyright. Neither a purchase nor a credit download transfers copyright or other ownership rights.

For AI catalog items, copyright in the generated pixels may not exist. The Content License is still the contractual permission to use the Licensed File under the applicable schedule. Where a contributor has copyright in a human-authored contribution, that copyright remains with the contributor or applicable rights holder, subject to the marketplace usage grant in the Contributor Terms.

Gobostock reviews submissions but cannot guarantee that every caption, release, trademark, or rights claim is error-free. Buyers remain responsible for deciding whether a planned use requires additional permission under local law.

A valid license permits the buyer to download the Licensed File. Preview URLs, temporary download links, Generation Recipes, and account access are not transferable.

An audio license covers the finished audio file and, when supplied, its Generation Recipe. It does not transfer ownership of any person's voice and never includes cloned-voice recordings, transcripts, reusable voice identifiers, biometric material, or other private voice inputs.

8. Refunds and termination

A license ends immediately if its purchase is fully refunded, charged back, otherwise reversed, fraudulent, or the license is revoked for a material violation of these terms. A partial refund does not end the license unless Gobostock expressly revokes the remaining license. The buyer must stop new use and delete accessible source files after termination. Finished projects created before a platform delisting may continue only when the original purchase remains valid and the asset was not removed for a legal-rights defect.

If Gobostock notifies a buyer that an asset may infringe rights, the buyer must stop using it and follow the remediation instructions in that notice.
