Nano Banana 2.1

Nano Banana 2.1 is Google’s newest fast image-generation and editing model, released in October 2026 as the successor to Nano Banana 2. Google rates it ahead of its predecessor on overall quality, editing and multi-character consistency, with sharper graphic layouts, cleaner text rendering and fewer artefacts on very wide banners. It accepts long prompts, up to fourteen reference images, optional live web grounding and three thinking levels, at 1K, 2K and 4K.
